Andean textiles

Andean textiles date back to the times of the pre-Inca culture, which were constantly developing as the years passed, as well as the use of natural dyes and earth colors.
Advances in textiles are based on the ingenuity and innovation of each era and the development of each workshop that is currently being developed, that is why our workshop remains and investigates the textures, designs, plots and different traditional techniques as well as contemporary, the threads we use are made of alpaca fiber and acrylic to be able to achieve some colors that today are of visual impact.

The elaboration of our tapestry has several processes. Such as prepare a sketch and make the design enlargement,trace the enlarged design to the warp of the loom, prepare the appropriate color in balls as requested by the color of the designand begin the elaboration of the weave using different techniques between the plot.
